As the saying goes: If you want something done right, do it yourself. Here’s what I’ll be stuffing my (and my husband’s) stockings with this year. Which beauty product picks will you add to your list?
Korres Beauty Shots, $36
Four mini facial masks with active fruit ingredients will get your skin glowing. The nectarine version moisturizes while the watermelon cools, grapefruit brightens and cranberry firms and lifts.
Perfect for you, or your other half, this duo contains two of my all-time favorite products from Kiehl’s. The Lip Balm #1 and the Ultimate Strength Hand Salve.
I pretty much love everything from By Terry. I’m a sucker for anything infused with rose. So this ready-to-gift set of five tinted baumes is a must-have.
Dollar Shave Club, $3 a month and up.
This company has swagger and my husband is blessed with crazy thick stubble, which means he needs new blades often. I’m definitely getting him a membership. Oh, and some One Wipe Charlies.
The Naked collection continues its reign with this easy-to-pack kit that includes six new (and all wearable) eyeshadows, bronzer, blush, eyeliner, mascara and a full-size lipgloss.
L’Oréal Paris Sparkling Soirée Nail Collection, $5.99 each
Sparkly, glittery nail lacquers. Need I say more?
No surprise this made my list. See, told you I like anything rose-infused! That and rose is known for it’s moisturizing, antiseptic, astringent and anti-inflammatory properties.
If you’ve never experienced the Tocca fragrances, you’re missing out. They are lovely, feminine, sweet … everything you might want in a scent. This set of 10 teeny sprays is, I think, the best way to experience them. You can spritz on the one that matches the way you’re feeling at the moment you’re ready to put it on. The set includes: Cleopatra, Stella, Florence, Giuletta, Colette, Bianca, Violette, Liliana, Margaux and Simone scents in an adorable tin, of course.
Getting glam will be so much more fun when I have these dazzling brushes in my kit. They’re just too fabulous to pass up. Especially since I can pick them up at Target while I’m there buying practical things, like, toilet paper.
Anthropology is full of giftable items and indy beauty brands. I stumbled upon this Moonshine Cologne on their site and I know it’ll be a hit with the husband. And, the spicy scent combined with tobacco, leather, patchouli and gin is sure to smell sexy.
This stunning compact takes a boring product, like powder, to a whole new level. If you’re going to keep powder in your purse, it may as well be housed in this gold Glittering Stars Compact, right?
The new Eye Glacé included in this trio, which also contains an eyeliner and mascara, is a new formula worth adding to your collection. It’s the love child of a metallic foil shadow and eye gel.
What woman wouldn’t want a natural fragrance based on their astrological sign? This is sure to be a winning gift. Strange Invisible Perfumes isn’t your run-of-the-mill fragrance brand, either. Visit their Venice, CA boutique and get a whiff of their fragrances and you’ll know what I mean. And, if you’re in the Los Angeles area this weekend, they’re hosting a holiday shopping event at their Abbot Kinney boutique on Saturday, December 6. They’re offering a 15 percent discount on all merchandise, complimentary gift wrapping and a free body lotion ($75 value) with every perfume purchase. They’re open 11am to 8pm.
I’ve already mentioned foil in this list — metallic or foil eye products are a must if you want to be on-trend this season — and this silver and gold limited edition duo from Glossier, the brand developed by the Into The Gloss gals, is fierce.
If you, like everyone else, are obsessed with the Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tars, this is a must-get. It includes a lip primer and three hot-selling shades of Lip Tar along with a brush.
I recently finished off a tube of the Rosewater Ultra-Moisutrizing Hand Therapy, which is one of the six mini hand cream scents housed in this gift-worthy tin. I know, I need to stop it with the rose already. I just can’t help myself.
