If you’re just getting around to carving your pumpkin, be sure to save all of your pumpkin guts (seeds and pulp). Why? Because you can use them to create a delicious, skin-softening body scrub, of course. Here, Janice Cox, author of Natural Beauty at Home, tells us how to whip it up …
Step 1: Process your pumpkin seeds and pulp in a blender or food processor until you have a coarse scrub, says Cox.
Step 2: Mix one cup of the seed blend with one cup of raw sugar and two tablespoons of almond oil.
Step 3: Rub it all over your body while showering and rinse.
Bonus tip: “Freeze any extra pumpkin pulp for use year round,” says Cox.
