Answer: I shared a couple of my new favorite natural sunscreens earlier in the week, which prompted Colleen to ask about natural baby sunscreens. The caveat being that she’s looking for a lotion sunscreen. These are few and far between when it comes to kid-specific products (and adult-specific products, too), but there is one that I would recommend. The California Baby Everyday/Year-Round Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+, $18.99. It’s still a bit more of a sunscreen than it is a lotion, but it does have a more lotion-y feel than some of the straight-up natural sunscreens out there. The active sunscreen ingredient is a micronized Titanium Dioxide (a non-chemical blocker that doesn’t look super white on skin), and it also contains Japanese green tea (an antioxidant) and a blend of essential oils. It can be used on your little one’s face (without making her eyes sting) and body.
