Julia Roberts seems to get better looking every year — agree? I only hope I can age as successfully. At Saturday’s Mirror Mirror premiere she looked stunning, but natural at the same time. Her hair and makeup looked flawless yet effortless, which was totally appropriate for an early-in-the-day event. We got the scoop on how makeup artist Genevieve created the look so that you can copy it for your next daytime event (or for your everyday look).
First, she created a “very soft eyewash” by applying a navy cream liner (she used Lancome Liner Design in Indigo Darling, $24.50) on Roberts’ upper lids close to her lashlines.
Next, she dusted a sheer shimmer shadow on the inner corners of her eyes. She used the lightest shimmery shade from the Lancome Color Design Quad in Twirling in Tulle, $43. She then used a dark matte plum hue on Roberts’ lids from lashlines to creases. She finished by blending the two shadow shades together and applying black mascara (she used Lancome Définicils Mascara, $26) to both top and bottom lashes.
To complement the soft eye look, Genevieve dusted Roberts’ cheeks with Lancome Blush Subtil in Miel Glace, $30 (a pinky-peach shade) and coated her lips with a pinkish nude lipstick (she used Lancome Rouge in Love Lipstick in Lasting Kiss, $25). Pretty and wearable.
