Beauty Problem Solver of the Week #19

The product: Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush in Nectar, $24

Why: I don’t like to spend much time getting ready in the morning before work (who does, right?!). I’d rather spend the time walking my dogs, doing pilates, Facebooking, Tweeting, etc., etc., etc. That’s why I’ve started to depend on cream blush over powder blush. It saves me time because I can blend it on the apples of my cheeks without a brush and in seconds. It’s also a great option now that the weather is cooling down and my skin is starting to feel a bit dry as it contains a ceramide triple complex along with vitamins A, C and E.

What’s impressive though is that as soon as I started wearing this blush daily, colleagues were complimenting me on my glowing skin. Cream blush definitely looks more natural because it melts into your skin. And, when applied high up on the apples of your cheeks (just below your eye socket), it can really make you look more youthful.

Using this cream blush also proved to me that we shouldn’t forget about these classic cosmetic brands that have been around forever — this blush is not your grandma’s rouge. And, coincidentally Elizabeth Arden is celebrating their 100th anniversary — and they’re still going strong. Curious about other products you might want to check out? Here’s a list of their top-sellers:

Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, $17 This is another favorite of mine. You can use it on dry hands, lips — even on paper cuts — it’s a multi-tasking wonder. I’ve spied this in many makeup artists’ kits.

Prevage Face Advanced Anti-aging Serum, $159.00

Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules Intensive Treatment for Face and Throat, $68.00

Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil, $16.50

Exceptional Lipstick, $19.50

Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick, $19.50

Ceramide Ultra Lipstick, $22.50
