“What’s your favorite new mascara?” This is a question my friend Anne Marie asks me every time I see her, and guess what? I’m going to see her on Thursday. That’s why I’ve just starting using the new CoverGirl NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara in Very Black, $8.99.
The scoop: In lieu of traditional synthetic waxes and polymers found in many mascaras, this contains natural beeswax, carnauba wax and tapioca polymers. According to the company that makes it a lighter-feeling mascara that’s designed to “give stunning volume while leaving lashes luxuriously light and lifted.” I can dig that.
The bonus: The packaging is environmentally conscious in that it reduces water use and carbon emissions, and it offers a 30 percent reduction in packaging waste compared to other CoverGirl mascaras. Pretty nifty.
The verdict: You’ll have to wait until after Thursday to find out — I’ve still got to give this a good trial run.
In the meantime, what’s your favorite new mascara? Please share by commenting.
