Day 7: Lush Mr Frosty, $19.95
This adorable, crafty-looking snowman is just a front for the three fabulous bath bombs that are hidden inside. If you haven’t tried a Lush Bath Bomb yet, do yourself a favor and pick one of these up for yourself. If you’re a bath taker, these fizzy “bombs” will turn your bath into a heavenly-scented spa. And, while you’re at it, pick up a few others for the bath lovers in your family. Everyone from your Spy Gear-loving 5-year-old nephew to your stressed-out, mother-of-three sister will adore you for this gift.
The three bombs included are the Cinders Bath Bomb (a sweet and spicy, cinnamon-infused scent), the Lil’ Lush Pud Bath Bomb (a clove, aloe and rose scent that’s inspired by figgy pudding) and the Golden Wonders Bath Bomb (a gift box-looking bomb scented with orange, lime and cognac). Ahhh…

Day 5: Stila Daydream Palette, $18
The eye makeup junkie in your life will squeal when you give her this kaleidoscope-inspired, adorable eyeshadow palette. With 22 — yes, twenty two — shades that range from taupe and champagne-y neutrals to look-at-me teals and blues, she’s sure to find a favorite shade, or five. This is one that I might just have to buy for myself, well, and for my sister, of course.
Do you buy gifts for yourself when holiday shopping or is that just me? It’s almost impossible to resist, right?!

Day 4: MAC Kids Helping Kids Tree Teddy Holiday Ornament, $18
My mom started a tradition when my sister and I were kids that every Christmas we would each get a special ornament. She said it was to help start our collections, so that as adults we would have a solid set of tree bling that also had some sentimental value. As a kid I thought of this tradition as kinda sappy or silly, but now, every year when I pull out my box of decorations, I go back to the moment I was given each and every one of the little items. I can remember exactly what my mom said about them and why they were special. And, although I’m one of those people who likes to have coordinating ornaments on the tree — I stick with a silver theme — I do manage to find a special place for these unique pieces.
That’s why when I saw this Ornament slash lipgloss holiday offering from MAC, I had to write about it. Giving the gift of an ornament — especially one in the shape of a teddy bear that also has a mini crimson-hued Lipglass attached to it — will delight your recipient for more than one reason. First, it’s cute (perfect for using as a gift topper) and second, every dollar you spend on this goes to the MAC AIDS Fund, which benefits people with HIV/AIDS. It’s a win win.
Day 3: Sonia Kashuk Scarlet Starlet 4-Piece Brush and Purse Set, $14.99
I’ve mentioned Sonia Kashuk makeup brushes previously when a reader asked about makeup brushes that won’t break the bank, so you likely already know that I think they are some of the best brushes for the price. Super soft and fit for a pro or makeup junkie. And, what’s even better is that they’ve been all dressed up for the holiday season. They boast red metallic stems and come complete with a chic tweed case — perfect to stash in your bag so that when it comes time to go from office to happy hour or party, you’ll have all the right tools. The set includes a travel-sized blush brush, flat shadow brush, blending brush and shader brush.
